Free Halloween Jack-o'-Lantern Coloring Page
Hey friends! Today’s resource is a fun color-your-own jack-o'-lantern, and it includes a copy of the music for the folk song “Pumpkin Pumpkin”. Make sure you’ve grabbed your free song card so you can sing along!
I think it is so special to see all the different creative ways someone can make a jack-o'-lantern. Will it be sweet or spooky? mad or silly? So many options! I drew a few to test out the page, and then my 3yo son drew the cutest little jack-o'-lantern face and told me it was “really spooky” ❤️
I also included in the instructions a fun way to incorporate the child’s own jack-o'-lantern into the folk song game–after drawing, the child can turn their page to the backside to hide their jack-o'-lantern as they sing, until the word “that”, when they turn their page around and hold it up high! Look around at all the different jack-o'-lantern faces!
I was thinking how fun it would be to have an entire class design their own jack-o'-lanterns, and then put them up as a festive and meaningful bulletin board! I love celebrating children’s work and they feel such a sense of pride seeing their work up on the board.
