Hey friends! I’m here today to share a fun turkey-themed song for Folk Song Friday! I absolutely adore this folk song–it’s irresistible fun. All my students love it, from pre-K to 6th graders. No one can stay still when the turkeys are shooing!
It’s a fairly simple call and response song, which means that it can also be great for getting reluctant singers to join in, and is great for teaching a large group. Once the students learn the caller’s part, they love taking turns being the caller, and telling all the turkeys how to move at the end of the song.
It’s the kind of song you can sing and sing, and play and play, until no one can sing anymore for laughing too hard. Absolutely delightful.
